Topdog, Topshop!!

I actively avoid Topshop, i usually scour online and vintage boutiques to find one off pieces, but when i read about this i had to say something!
Topshop have launched a range of hand crafted silk scarves made by women whom have sought shelter under the Key of Freedom project.

Topshop have been working with the Key to Freedom project for a year, and their aim is to provide a safe environment for vulnerable girls in West Bengal.  these girls are given security and the opportunity to learn how to dye, sew and print to become independent through work.
A spokesperson from Topshop has stated that these women earn a good wage (hopefully it’s above the minimum status) and that any additional cash left over goes back to the charity.

I must admit though, despite people’s cynicism all of this is for a good cause. And thanks to their message and how they look, i’m on a bit of a mission to collect all four scarves before they sell out!
Their simply perfect for summers,  (head wraps, sarongs etc) and cold winters.  I’m in love with the blue floral pattern one and my friend recently bought the peach coloured one.   (You can show off your scarf on Instagram and Twitter).
These hand crafted scarves come in a variety of gorgeous Indian patterns, are made from silk and cost roughly £32 (online price) and they are only available at the Topshops located in Oxford Street and Brompton Road.
